My first weekend on alcohol probation has been completed. Friday night nothing was really going on and the weather was not too nice. Saturday night I did not have to worry because I was off campus from 11 AM-3 AM Sunday. However there was a close call with two of the twelve apostles of alcohol probation. An unnamed resident had a bottle of an alcoholic beverage in an unnamed room and two unnamed probationaries were in there. One of them fleed and the other one was in bed and nothing came of the situation.
My roommate and I are currently IMing each other. We are 5 feet away from each other. So many people are guilty of this however. People text each other in the same room. Texting and IMing has made personal encounters so different. It is so easy to say something online but face to face is harder. Real, concrete, personal conversation is a dying art. It is sad but its the truth.
Here is a story from my past for all of you who read:
In November of 2003, a movie called Timeline came out. If you have heard of this movie, give yourself a pat on the back. It was a bad movie. To put it in perspective for you, it cost 80 million dollars to make and did not even gross 20 million while in theaters. It is a movie about scientists who time travel to the year 1357 in the midst of the Hundred Years War between France and England. The movie was so bad. Anyways, one day we had off for Christmas break my friends Dylan and Mike decided it would be a good idea to see this movie. There was one issue, it had just snowed. And when I say snowed, I mean there was a blizzard. Well we thought it would be a good idea to walk to the theatre because the roads were so dangerous. We trudged about a half-mile in a foot and a half of snow and 20 degree temperatures to see an awful movie. People tell stories to their grandkids about how they walked 3 miles in a blizzard to save someones life or to get to school because there was one school in the county back then. Well we walked in a blizzard to see a bad film starring the worst actor I can think of (paul walker-notice I did not capitalize his name because he sucks.) What a great experience.
Do Unicorn and Acorn mean the same thing?
