Today was an interesting day. I had my Media Studies class that meets once a week for two hours and forty five minutes. So after that I came back to my room and took a nap. While I was slumbering, my roommate Brian was asked to show our dorm for a campus tour. He obliged. So a group of people came into our room and saw me asleep. Its a weird feeling knowing that people saw you when you were asleep and you have no idea. Like for all I know, they were dressed in banana hammocks and danced around in here.
Tonight was also movie night for our media studies class. We went to see the 7 PM showing of Changeling, the new Clint Eastwood film. To say the movie was great would be an understatement. To say what happened after the movie was good, would be a gross overstatement. It was not a well put together trip. There was no bus arranged for us. Prof. Miller asked who had cars on campus in our class (a freshman only class, with an exception a senior named Doug who snuck in). Since only Doug and Maile (a volleyball star from California had cars) Prof. Miller asked Doug to ask a friend of his to drive. We had four drivers for about 19 people. When we arrived at the designated pick up spot 5 people did not show. So Dougs friend did not have to drive. He came anyways. But I digress..So the movie ends and we are all getting ready to leave when Maile realizes her car won't start. A student named Henry, Doug, and myself tried to get a car with two women to pull over to see if they had jumper cables. We approached the car and they did not roll their window down, they waved and sped off. We all were pretty shocked. Then our Professor left. Soon it was just Maile, Rob, Tom, Henry, and Myself. It was an interesting experience. But we got home safe and sound and we were good friends to Maile. And the 12 of us who were written up have made it to day 4.
I hope to liveblog Religous Studies again tomorrow.
